Virtual Terminal Walkthrough

This article will walk you through the basics of using Virtual Terminal. 



You will need the merchant ID number, the username, and the password to login to Virtual terminal. You may click on the "Demo" button to access the sandbox login for Virtual Terminal:



The sandbox login screen will prefill the fields with test credentials that you may use. You may also delete the existing credentials to enter your own sandbox/test credentials. You may return to the live/production login screen by clicking on the "Live" link:



Once you have logged in, you may navigate the site using the menu on the left. The first menu options on the left are for transactions. You may click on "Add" to run a transaction, "Search" to search for a transaction that you have already processed, or "Export" to create a file such as a CSV or Excel  with a list of the transactions:


Next on the menu on the left, there will be reporting options such as Origination, Deposit, Returns, Verify, and Scheduled. These reports will help you to track any returned transactions, recocile deposits, and view your scheduled/recurring transactions: 



The next option on the menu is for "Clients". Here you will be able to add clients, make changes to the existing client data, export your client data, and import new clients:


You will also find the knowledge center, which provides valuable contact information and documentation: 



Under "User Options" you may create logins for users. Here is where you can choose the type of access that each user will have. You can search for and edit existing users using the "Search" option. You may edit the settings for your own account using the "Preferences" option:



The "Merchant Options menu will allow you to configure the settings for Virtual Terminal such as the types of payments you will accept, the notification emails that are sent out to customers, the ACH/echeck recollect options, the field settings, and the AVS settings: 


Finally, you have: "Gateway Settings". You may go to "Gateway Key" to create or edit your API Login ID and Secure Transaction Key: 




You may go to "Secure Web Pay" to configure your Secure Web Pay settings. You will have various tabs to edit the options and features within Secure Web Pay, preview the page, and generate HTML code that you may add to your website:
