V400c Cloud Setup

1. You will first need to enable the cloud service and add the V400c serial number under the location in Dex(under the 10,000 Org ID).

    a. Navigate to locations under the 10,000 organization in Dex, expand "Terminals" and flip the switch on for "Cloud Services".

    b. Click on the "Manage" button.

    c. click on the "Add Terminal" button:

    d. Select the V400c as the "Terminal Model", key in the serial number, select "Cloud Enabled" as the "Configuration Type", select "Active" for the "Device Status", select the desired "Location ID", and click "Apply". Then click on "Add Terminal":

e. Please copy the "Device Key" to add to the terminal template in VHQ.

2. Copy a cloud template in VHQ  and make the needed changes to the template.

*Please note: Each terminal will require it's own unique template because the device key will be different for each terminal.

    a. You will want to choose a good working cloud template such as 339098(NON-P2PE) or 302240(P2PE):

   b. Make sure to mention "Cloud" and the last 4 of the device serial number in the template name(since the template can only be used for that specific serial number):

    c. Edit the parameters in the new template to match the correct merchant and make sure the device key and MID are correct under the cloud settings(based on the info from Dex):

    d. Assign the cloud template to the terminal:

     e. Schedule a software and parameters update based on the merchant or new equipment order needs.

    f. The merchant will need to press the green enter key to load the cloud application after the update/download. If the update is successful, the terminal will go to the "Welcome" screen.

3. If the merchant is switching from semi-hybrid(with cables and FPDH installed), the merchant will need to disconnect the cables and uninstall the FortePaymentDeviceHandler software from their Windows Computer.

a.The best way to uninstall the FortePaymentDeviceHandler is to have them navigate to the folder on their C: drive:

b. Then run the uninstaller(The merchant may need to stop the service under "Services" first):
