DynaFlex II Go – Package Inspection Guide

The MagTek DynaFlex II Go is a PCI PTS v6.x certified secure card reader authenticator (SCR). Each unit is shipped in tamper-evident packaging with security tape to ensure device integrity from factory to merchant. This guide explains how to properly inspect your package for tampering, what to check on arrival, and how to confirm PCI validation.


Package Overview

  • Form Factor: White corrugated cardboard box with black-ink printing.

  • Internal Packaging: Device secured in Korrvu cling-wrap packaging with a cardboard insert and thumb holes for removal.

  • Contents: Device, USB cable(s), Device Inspection Document, and Quick Installation Guide.

  • Tamper-Evident Features: Security tape closure on the front flap wrapping to the bottom of the package.


Exterior Inspection

Front of Package

  • Product name and category.

  • PCI certification information.

  • MagneSafe® security details.

  • Icons for supported card-read capabilities.

  • QR codes for additional product info.

  • Security tape applied from the front flap to the bottom.

Back of Package

  • Industry compliance logos.

  • Manufacturer address: MagTek, Inc., 1710 Apollo Court, Seal Beach, CA.

Left Side

  • Package contents printed.

  • Product label adhered (includes serial, part number, lot details).

Right Side

  • Storage requirements and caution content printed.



Tamper Evidence (Bottom of Package)

  • Security Tape, wraps from front flap to bottom—must show no tampering. 

    • If removed or lifted, the tape displays “VOID” and “OPENED” text.

    • The package itself also shows inverted ink impressions where tape was applied.

  • Package Integrity:

    • Inspect for tears, cuts, or added material.

    • Ensure there are no breaks in the box structure or extra adhesives.






PCI Device Validation

Each DynaFlex II Go must be verified for compliance:

  1. Locate the Hardware ID on the product label.

  2. Access the Firmware ID from the device.

  3. Verify both IDs on the PCI Security Standards website:
    ? PCI PTS Approved Devices

When receiving or auditing devices, follow this checklist:
