V400c - Open ports in Windows Firewall

V400c Plus needs to be connected to a device with the Port 80 and 443 opened in the firewall.

Most devices already have this enabled. If not, please follow these steps: 

  1. Press the Windows key + S on your keyboard to open the search bar. Type “Firewall” in the search bar and select “Windows Defender Firewall” from the search results.
  2. The Windows Firewall settings window will open, click on “Advance Settings” on the left-hand side (Section A).
     
  3. In the Advance Settings view, click on “Inbound Rules” on the left-hand side, (Section B) then click on “New Rule” on the right-hand side to create a new inbound rule. (Section C). 
  4. The “New Inbound Rule Wizard” will open.
    Note: The terminal uses the following URL/IP addresses:
    Paymentsgateway.net 52.1.60.186 - Terminals.forte.net 52.1.41.20
  5. In the “New Inbound Rule Wizard,” select “Port” as the rule type (Section D) and click “Next”.
  6. Choose “TCP” as the protocol, select “Specific local ports.” and enter “443” in the “Specific local ports” field (Section E) and click “Next”.
    Note: Repeat the same process for both ports, changing the number from 443 to 80
  7. Select “Allow the connection” and click “Next”.
  8. Choose the appropriate network location where the rule should apply (Domain, Private, Public) and click “Next”.
  9. Give the rule a name and an optional description. 
  10. Click “Finish.”
