Reset Your Dex Password

Purpose


For security reasons, Dex requires both email verification and mobile phone verification to reset your password. If you no longer have access to either the email address or mobile phone used during registration, you must contact Forte Customer Service at 866-290-5400 for assistance.


Before You Begin

To successfully reset your password, you will need:

  • Access to the email address used to register for Dex

  • Access to the mobile phone number associated with your Dex account (for text message verification)

If either of these is unavailable, do not proceed—contact Forte Customer Service.


Password Recovery Steps


  1. Navigate to the Dex Login Page.

  2. Click Forgot password?
    The Forgot Your Password? page will display.

  3. Enter the email address used to register for Dex.

  4. Complete the Captcha verification.

  5. Click Send Reset Password Link.
    A confirmation message will display on screen.

  6. Check your email and click the Reset Your Password link provided by Dex.

    • If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.

  7. After clicking the link, the Verify Phone screen will appear.

  8. Confirm the last four digits of your mobile phone number and click Send Verification Code.

  9. Dex will send a six-digit verification code via text message.

  10. Enter the verification code and click Verify.

    • If the code is not received, click Resend.

    • After three unsuccessful attempts, your account will lock for 15 minutes.

  11. Once verified, the Create New Password screen will appear.


Creating a Secure Password


You may use a password generator for convenience:

Your new Dex password must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Minimum 14 characters

  • At least 1 uppercase letter (A–Z)

  • At least 1 numeric character (0–9)

  • At least 1 special character (e.g., !, #, *, %)

  • Must be different from your previous five passwords

Enter your new password in both fields and click Save.



After Resetting Your Password
  • You will be returned to the Dex Login Page.

  • Log in using your username and new password.

  • If login fails after resetting, wait 15 minutes and try again.


When to Contact Customer Service


Contact Forte Customer Service (866-290-5400) if:

  • You no longer have access to your registered email address

  • Your mobile phone number has changed

  • Your account remains locked after the wait period

  • You do not receive reset emails or verification codes
