Yes. Forte Checkout supports both US and Canadian transaction processing. However, Canadian merchants must be set up with a Canadian Processor. Contact Customer Service for more information. Additionally, Canadian routing numbers must be created using the financial institution's Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) code preceded by a zero. For example, if a bank's MICR code is BBBBB-AAA, then the institution's routing number in Forte Checkout would be 0AAABBBBB. The leading digit must always be a zero (0). The three-digit code (the AAA in our example) represents the financial institution while the five-digit code (i.e., BBBBB) identifies the branch of the institution.
